The Works
The works consisted of the design and build of a new Fire Station in Dursley. Working closely with our design team in collaboration with the Fire Service and Gloucestershire County Council, We were able to maximise the potential of the sloping nature of the site, providing a building design which provided storage of the fire tenders at first floor (street) level, with accommodation and ancillary / training areas provided on additional lower and upper floors
Features of Project
The design and build of a new working Fire Station, providing an array of additional characteristics to maximise the benefits of the building as a training facility. This included features such as;
- Small balcony and rooflight for practising ingress / egress situations
- Areas of pitched and flat roof for training purposes
- Ability to fill various rooms with smoke for training purposes, and extract quickly when required
- Disabled and communal facilities to provide a welcoming ‘community use’ aspect to the building

Relationship with Client
